Topic
Year in Review 2020 & 2021 in Critical Care
Abstract
It must be recognised that even as the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) attacked intensive care units (ICUs) around the world in the last 1.5 years, critical illness continues to affect people without the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). This talk will give a broad overview of the landmark studies in critical care beyond COVID-19, that were published in 2020 and 2021, and that have the potential to change clinical management.
